The Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN) is pleased to announce the official opening of membership applications for the 2025 admission year. This opportunity is open to individuals, students, and corporate organizations committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical practice in pest and vector control across Nigeria.
Since its founding in 1989, PECAN has remained the recognized umbrella body for all professional pest control practitioners in the country. The association’s mandate is to foster professionalism, promote safe pest management practices, and protect public health and the environment through continuous education, regulation, and collaboration with relevant authorities.
Membership Categories
PECAN invites applications from eligible practitioners and organizations under the following categories:
- Practicing Member – For licensed pest control operators actively engaged in professional practice.
- Associate Member – For students and trainees seeking to develop a career in pest and vector management.
- Corporate Member – For companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, or sales of pest control products, chemicals, and equipment.

Upon verification, the official PECAN membership application form will be issued to the applicant for completion and submission.
Required Supporting Documents
Applicants are required to attach the following:
- CAC Registration Certificate
- Pest Control Training Certificates
- Photographs of Equipment, PPEs, and Operational Staff in uniform
- Certified True Copy Affidavit
- Any other relevant certifications or affiliate memberships
All applications will be reviewed by the PECAN Membership Committee, which will also conduct a proficiency inspection of the applicant’s office or operational facility.
Qualified applicants will be issued a membership acceptance letter and invited to complete registration by paying the required statutory membership fees.
Induction of New Members
All newly approved members will be formally inducted at the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for November 2025. The induction ceremony marks the official recognition of new members and their integration into Nigeria’s foremost professional pest control body.
